- Which areas do you cover?
- We provide services across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Newcastle. Appointments can be arranged on-site at your premises, at our clinic, remotely or via a mobile unit, depending on the nature of the assessment.
- What does occupational health involve?
- Occupational health considers how an employee's health may affect their ability to perform their role, and whether the role itself may be affecting their health. This includes fitness-for-work assessments, advice on reasonable adjustments and support in meeting your obligations under health and safety legislation.
- How do management referrals work?
- The referring manager submits a referral outlining the questions they need addressed. With the employee's informed consent, we carry out a clinical assessment and provide a report covering fitness for work, likely timescales, recommended adjustments and any further support. Medical detail is shared only where it is relevant and proportionate.
- How do I know if we need health surveillance?
- If your risk assessments identify exposure to hazards such as noise, vibration, dust or respiratory sensitisers, there is likely a legal duty to carry out health surveillance. The programme is designed to detect early signs of work-related ill health and to confirm that your control measures remain effective.
- Do you offer drug and alcohol testing?
- This is not a service we currently provide.
