Required under the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 when exposure exceeds action levels. We carry out baseline, periodic and exit audiometry, categorise results using HSE-recognised standards, and arrange OHP review if a threshold shift or other concern is found.

Required under the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 when exposure meets or exceeds the exposure action value, or if symptoms are reported. Screening starts with a questionnaire, followed by Tier 3 assessment by an OH Adviser and Tier 4 physician review when staging or complex symptoms require it.

Workers exposed to asbestos fibres must undergo regular medical assessments to monitor health and ensure fitness for work.

Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (Reg. 22), workers involved in licensed asbestos work must have a medical examination by an HSE-appointed doctor every two years, while those undertaking Notifiable Non-Licensed Work (NNLW) require a medical every three years.

Each assessment typically includes an occupational and respiratory history, symptom review, chest and cardiorespiratory examination, and lung function testing where indicated, with a formal fitness statement issued.

Employees working with ionising radiation may require medical surveillance to confirm fitness for work and monitor health in line with statutory requirements.

Under the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 (IRR17), employers must arrange appropriate medical surveillance for classified persons, including before designation and at intervals determined by the appointed doctor. Examinations must be carried out by an HSE-appointed doctor.

Each assessment typically includes review of occupational and radiation exposure history, a health questionnaire and clinical examination where indicated, with a formal statement on fitness to work with ionising radiation recorded in the employee's health record.
