Clinical input is often most valuable before a programme is designed, not after. Consultation allows you to plan with confidence.

We work with you to determine what your workforce requires, which roles need surveillance, where your legal obligations lie and how to structure referrals effectively.
The outcome is a clear plan covering priorities, frequency and responsibilities. We can also review existing OH policies where you are changing providers or inheriting a programme.

Health Surveillance

Delivered by qualified Occupational Health Professionals, in alignment with your Health & Safety Teams

Hearing tests are essential for employees regularly exposed to loud noise to allow early detection of noise-induced hearing loss.

Required under the Control of Noise at Work Regulations (2005) when exposure exceeds action levels.Includes baseline, periodic, and exit audiometry with OHP review if needed. Results are categorised and monitored for changes over time.
Results are categorised using HSE-recognised standards. Where a threshold shift is detected, the case is reviewed by an Occupational Health Physician who advises on appropriate next steps, whether that involves further investigation, adjusted exposure levels or continued periodic monitoring.

Respiratory health surveillance monitors lung function, helping to detect work-related lung conditions early.

Required under COSHH where exposure to respiratory sensitisers or irritants cannot be fully controlled.
Conducted by trained OH staff using calibrated equipment to recognised standards.

HAVS surveillance helps detect early signs of vascular and neurological damage caused by exposure to vibrating tools and machinery.

Required under the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 when exposure meets or exceeds the EAV , or if symptoms are reported. This follows a tiered pathway which is carried out by Occupational Health Advisors at Tier 3 and Occupational Health Physicians at Tier 4 if required.
Assessments follow the tiered approach: initial screening by questionnaire, clinical assessment by an OH Advisor at Tier 3, and Physician review at Tier 4 when staging or complex cases require it.

Workers exposed to asbestos fibres must undergo regular medical assessments to monitor health and ensure fitness for work.

Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (Reg. 22), workers involved in licensed asbestos work must have a medical examination by an HSE Appointed Doctor every two years, while those undertaking Notifiable Non-Licensed Work (NNLW) require a medical every three years by a doctor.
Each assessment typically includes an occupational and respiratory history, symptom review, chest and cardiorespiratory examination, and lung function testing where indicated, with a formal fitness statement issued.
